What can your sun sign say about your health? What are you vulnerable to and what should you do to counteract any negative influences?

An astrological relationship between the zodiac and the human body has been prevalent since ancient Greece.

Symbolism thought originating with Hippocrates and widely used in the Middle Ages and Renaissance assigned parts and functions of the body to zodiac signs and planets.

So how could your sun sign affect your health?

  • Attitude – will rationalise potential problems

Scorpio (24 October – 22 November)

  • Rules the sexual organs
  • Attitude – may attempt self-diagnosis
  • If wiry, high - If heavy, low
  • Vulnerable to physical and psychological stagnation
  • Should avoid excess in all aspects of life

Sagittarius (23 November – 21 December)

  • Rules hips and thighs
  • Attitude – tendency to ignore symptoms
  • High metabolism
  • Vulnerable to restlessness leading to physical and emotional difficulties
  • Should develop a balance between physical and emotional expenditure

Capricorn (22 December – 20 January)

  • Rules the knees, skeleton and teeth
  • Attitude – prone to worry
  • Steady to high metabolism
  • Vulnerable to arthritic conditions, knee injuries and dental problems
  • Should increase mobility and develop a positive attitude to life

Aquarius (21 January – 18 February)

  • Rules the ankles, lower legs and circulatory system
  • Attitude – may listen to but ignore medical advice
  • Generally high metabolism
  • Vulnerable to arthritic conditions, poor circulation and weak ankles

Pisces (19 February – 20 March)

  • Rules the feet
  • Attitude - may develop imaginary ailments due to worry

  • Should be aware of a tendency toward negativity

Of course, these are general guidelines and a full astrological profile would be required to give a clearer insight into the possible effect of the planets on any individual.
