Which signs do Pisceans marry most often? Which are they most likely to divorce? A study of nearly 1 million people generated statistically significant findings.
Traditional astrological wisdom holds that Pisceans are most compatible with Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces, and least compatible with Aries, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra and Sagittarius. But what do the actual marriage and divorce statistics say?
Mathematician Gunter Sachs conducted a large-scale study of sun signs and found statistically significant results on a number of measures. Marriage and divorce findings are outlined below.
Pisces Men
Pisces men most frequently marry and are least likely to divorce Scorpio women. They are least likely to marry Virgos and Libras. As for who they are most likely to divorce, there was no statistically significant result for any sign.
It is unsurprising that Pisces and Scorpio would make a good match. With two such deep, intuitive signs, there is the potential for an exceptionally profound connection.
The finding that Pisces men are less inclined to marry Virgos and Libras is also in keeping with conventional astrological wisdom. Highly rational, practical, intellectually detached Virgo and sensitive, passionate, receptive Pisces do not make an easy match. And Pisceans need a lot of alone time to recharge their batteries, which may not appeal to Libras as they usually like to spend a lot of time with their partners.
Pisces Women
Pisces women are also more likely to marry Scorpio men than those of any other sign, while avoiding Sagittarians most often. Capricorn is the sign most likely to last the distance, with a lower-than-average divorce rate. There was no statistically significant result for which sign Pisces women are most likely to divorce.
It is no surprise that Pisceans make it the altar less frequently with Sagittarians. Pisces needs emotional reassurance and comfort, whereas Sagittarius, though generous, has a tendency to be insensitive. The tactless bluntness of the Sagittarius can lead to hurt feelings for the Pisces, while the Sagittarius may find the Pisces too clingy or needy. Also, the careless spending of the Sagittarian is at odds with the Piscean fiscal caution.
Pisces and Capricorn may be statistically favored due to their complementary traits. Pisces is the sign best able to get cautious Capricorn to open up and share emotions, while Capricorn can provide stability and security for the Pisces. Both signs also tend to be careful with money, so fights over finances are less likely.
Best Match
The best match for a Pisces of either gender is Scorpio, although Capricorn seems to be a good match for long-term love as well.
Study Findings and Traditional Astrological Predictions
In the case of Pisces, all results are within expectations. Pisceans choose the highly compatible water sign of Scorpio most often, and the matches are more inclined to last. Capricorn, a particularly favored sign for Pisces women, is also considered compatible.
As for avoidance and divorce, Sagittarius, Virgo and Libra, the least married and most divorced signs for Pisces, are considered highly incompatible with Pisces in traditional astrology.
Pisces is one of the few signs that does not marry others of the same sign most often. This may be because Pisces needs a solid, reliable anchor that can be provided by a fixed sign like Scorpio or an earth sign like Capricorn. Without this anchor, sensitive, intuitive, creative, open-minded Pisceans can get carried away on emotional tangents or step away from the collective reality and have trouble finding their way back.
Incompatible Matches
Pisceans who find themselves romantically entangled with one of the less compatible signs should not despair. Plenty of marriages between supposedly incompatible signs have lasted.
While some matches are statistically favored over others, astrology is complex, and there is more to take into account than just sun signs. Two people with incompatible sun signs may have highly compatible rising signs (ascendants) or moon signs that can make the difference between a bad match and a good match with a bit of an “edge” that keeps things interesting.

Pisces and Scorpio may be the best match according to this site but I dated
a Scorpio for 3 1/2 yrs and wanted to get married and the guy couldn't
commit worth a darn...and stubborn, oiy! Gave new meaning to the term
stubborn. Very intense even in a quiet way. I really wonder about Pisces

Plenty of relationships between Pisces and Aries last for a lifetime - the
sun sign isn't the only factor in compatibility. You may have very
compatible rising signs and/or moon signs.

with her, but it seems with scorpio, when they loose their love for you

Guest: I am a Pisces and have been with a capricorn for almost 5
years. We got married 28 Nov 2008. Since then he irritates me. We can't
get along. Pisces and capricorn have alot of differences in their
personality which does not match at all. I think in the compatibility
aspect the saying "EVERY SCEW POT NEEDS ITS LID" comes in play
absolutely perfectly. Allthough we have very passionate and loud fights we
make up quickly and live in peace for a little while until the next time.
Difficult to live with a capricorn because they are very prescise and
pisces is kind of a go with the flow personality. I like my alone time and

capricorn but not to live with them. I mean come on " Pisces
simbolized a fish in water" It's not cosure for us to feel like we are

as long as I live....one word -- UNTRUSTWORTHY! Scorpios, (whether male or
female) are "sneaky". You can't trust them and all they think
about is themselves....they are selfish and vain. It's all about looks

Divorce, Caps are hard workers but they are stubborn and hardheaded and not
really very sensitive they hold their feelings in. I was married to a
Scorpio for 21 years recently separated.. We were a great match in the
beginning 1st 10 years and then he changed and only thought of himself
among many other problems he had..sulky, manipulative, resentful.. not a
good match for the long haul.. I have since started dating a Libra.. I find
Libra men intriguing and fun.. so I think Pisces/Libra make for a great

I am a pisces woman and I have never dated a scorpio, but have seemed to
always end up with sag men. It's hard because sag people are really not
sensitive at all and are very blunt and say what they want. That ends up
leaving my feelings hurt most of the time. I have read everywhere that sag
and pisces do not match at all. I have been married to one for the last six
years and must say it has been extremely hard to keep it together. I am not
sure where to go from here...suggestions?
