Aries in love with Scorpio is a combination of two of the most powerful and completely different signs of the zodiac. Scorpio is deep, mysterious, intense, obsessive and jealous -- never cross a Scorpio because they will never forget it -- whilst Aries is impulsive, independent, reckless (the warrior sign with a fiery temperament and little patience or staying power). Compared with easy, fast-paced relationships such as Aries and Sagittarius or even Aries and Leo, this is a relationship that will take work and patience (which Aries notoriously lacks).
Scorpio & Aries Instant Attraction
For Aries, Scorpio is a mystery with hidden depths. This is always an instant attraction for the blazing fire sign, but they must be careful not to try and penetrate Scorpio's watery depths too quickly because Scorpio is a much slower, more cautious sign. For Aries to truly get to know this scorpion partner they must slow down. This can create problems early on in the relationship because Aries is easily bored, and quick to lose interest and give up. The good thing for Scorpio is that, if Aries does hang around, then Scorpio can be sure that the fire sign is serious about their relationship.
Differences Emerge between Scorpio & Aries
Scorpio has a calm exterior; however most people will be instinctually cautious around Scorpio because they sense an immense power coiled within Scorpio like a snake, ready to strike. Aries, being so confident, confrontational and quick to rush into things, is one sign that might risk unsettling the hidden power within Scorpio.
By aggravating Scorpio this way Aries would slow the progress of their relationship even further. Scorpio is naturally closed and cutting to their core will only make them less inclined to open up and reveal their mysterious depths. If this happens then Aries will become even more frustrated with the relationship and lose interest because of how slowly things are progressing. Aries must tread carefully not to aggravate Scorpio in this way.
Achieving Long Term Relationship Success
The two signs coming together make for a relationship charged with passion, sexual tension and often confrontation. For it to work long term the two signs must accommodate one another to maintain harmony. They are vastly different and only by moulding together gradually over time will Scorpio and Aries achieve the bond for a successful relationship. Aries must learn that, unlike themselves, Scorpio is a sign that will not forget and forgive. Any confrontation must be carefully considered to see whether it is truly worth the long term disruption that it will cause in the relationship. This is easier said than done for Aries.
Scorpio must try to take onboard some of Aries’ impulsiveness and become more open and trustworthy. It is also good to slow Aries down though. Otherwise the two signs can never truly become one. Still, in a relationship there must be openness and trust or any partner Scorpio has will feel unloved and leave.
Compromise & Understanding
If these two opposing signs can grow to understand each other then there is hope for a strong relationship where each person can learn from their partner. For two such opposing signs it will never be an easy ride. There will be times when neither feels like compromising and then their differences will rise to the surface. Aries must slow themselves down, Scorpio must be more open, and then there is the opportunity for a long and rewarding relationship.
