Taurus & Libra is earthy practicality meeting refined culture. They are very different signs but have enough in common to make the relationship work with some compromises

Air and Earth signs are never the easiest love match but there are many things that each person in this relationship can learn and improve about themselves by being with such a partner. Taurus and Libra are two very sociable signs, both being ruled by Venus, and they have other things in common, such as a natural appreciation for beauty, so they have a lot going for them. The key to long lasting success is to compromise with and understand their partner. If this doesn’t happen then fundamental differences will come between two people who could have been very happy and fulfilled together.

Practical Taurus & Cultured Libra

The positive side is that these two signs will work to make their relationships work. Taurus, the bull, is a fixed sign who rarely goes into anything without a long term goal in mind. Their patience and endurance will prove invaluable in a relationship with their more flighty Libran partner. Taurus must also learn to be more cultured and refined if they are going to make the relationship last. Whilst a Tauran will be happy eating dinner down at their local pub, or sitting in with a beer and a DVD, Libra is far more into fine dining and visiting art galleries.

Compromise is Key to Happiness

The two signs must learn to compromise and try new things which they would never have chosen to do themselves. Libra, being a cardinal sign, is likely to take the lead in the relationship. Their grace and charm will be of little use a lot of the time in persuading the bull though. Taurus is notoriously stubborn and direct. It is best for Libra not to drop subtle hints about what they want but just to come out with it.

The problem is that Libra does not always know what they want. They are notoriously indecisive. This can frustrate the bull who never changes their mind once it is made up.

Romance & Jealousy

Libra needs to have a relationship with the atmosphere of romance if they are to be happy. They live to please and have to feel appreciated in what they do, otherwise they will simply leave. For Taurus this is a little difficult. Soft romance is not always the most natural atmosphere to achieve. They are direct, practical and earthy people, lacking the finesse that comes so naturally to Libra. They do enjoy sensual pleasures though and must use this to make sure their Libran partner feels romanced and loved.

This is not a one-way criterion for the relationship either. Taurus is a very possessive and jealous sign. Their long-term union with airy Libra will face its biggest challenge because no air sign can ever be possessed. The harder Taurus tries, the quicker Libra will slip through their grasp. Both partners must work hard here – Taurus to make sure they trust and get over their jealousy, Libra to reassure their partner and not create unnecessary cause for jealousy.

This is not the easiest relationship but with the necessary compromises these are two signs who can get along very well together. Their similarities are enough to keep things loving whilst the differences will add fulfilment and depth to it.
